DESCRIPTION:The Medical Section of the School of Spiritual Science invites you to an interdisciplinary colloquium on its CARE theme I:\nPregnancy\, childbirth and early childhood – how do we lay the foundation for healthy human development?\nEarly life has a formative effect on health throughout the whole of life. Parents are dependent on support at this stage of their children’s lives\, usually still very open to suggestions and without firm orientation. \nThe CARE I working group of the Medical Section at the Goetheanum strives to work in an inter- and crossdisciplinary way in the areas of pregnancy support\, obstetrics\, nursing and neonatology\, early intervention\, artistic therapies and educational and medical support for parents and their children. \nThe task of CARE I is seen as gaining a concrete spiritual scientific understanding in support of all those working in this field. This is the basis for accessible\, experience-based\, practically applicable concepts to the respective questions and disturbances. The presentation of these concepts for professionals is supplemented by formats for communication with pregnant women and parents. \nIn this colloquium\, the content developed so far is now to be presented and put up for discussion. \nAll professionals working with the first phase of life are invited:\nGynaecologists\, as well as midwives\, neonatologists\, paediatricians\, general family medicine practitioners\, nurses and educators\, psychotherapist and therapists\, social workers and active representatives of parent associations. \nProgram and registration form (German)

DESCRIPTION:At the beginning of March this year\, the action plan for the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities\, drawn up by the associations CURAVIVA\, INSOS and vahs\, will be published. It provides suggestions and tools and supports the necessary development steps. In this sense\, we want to be inspired at the meeting by innovative and diverse examples of equality\, self-determination\, participation and inclusion and to discuss these in working groups. As a step on this path\, the Association for Anthroposophical Curative Education and Social Therapy Switzerland (vahs) wants to invite even more participation in the future of people with support needs. For this purpose\, the foundation stones for the establishment of an advisory board of the Association Board will be developed in one of the working groups. In joint action\, artistic working groups enable creative engagement with the topic of the conference. \nWarmly invited are residents as well as staff\, parents and relatives as well as board members and government representatives. \nMore information will follow.

SUMMARY:8. Witten Colloquium: Intuition - Its Essence\, its Forms\, its Development as a Skill for Research and Practice
DESCRIPTION:“Intuition” is often understood as a gut feeling or an emotional intuition. There is also a conceptual concept of intuition\, as described by Thomas Aquinas\, Descartes and Steiner or by Hegel as an “intellectual insight.” Intuition plays a significant\, often neglected role in research and practice. In the meantime\, intuitive action\, as seen in experts in their respective fields of activity\, is being intensively researched. Physicians\, musicians\, entrepreneurs – the list can be continued at will –\, are capable of complex decisions and actions\, revealing an intelligence that far exceeds the verbal expression of what they do. Effective thinking\, feeling and acting – in forms that are flexible\, creative\, synthetic and at the same time analytical\, empathetic\, powerful and self-effective\, are increasingly sought-after skills. Intuition is a central factor here. Can intuition be learned and strengthened? How do we develop our skills for creative thoughts\, feelings and actions? And how do they relate to each other? \nThe annual Wittener Colloquium for Humanism\, Medicine and Philosophy is dedicated to the cross-disciplinary discussion of socially relevant fundamental questions of the human in the context of current trends. The event is presented as training for physicians\, psychologists\, educators and other professionals\, as well as for students.
