Marjatta school in Helsinki celebrated its 50-year anniversary

On the 17th of November 2022 the Marjatta school for children with special needs commemorated its 50th anniversary with a festive performance with the children, teachers, therapists and co-workers.

Parents, members from the board, former co-workers and teachers, local politicians and former pupils were invited in the school hall to listen and to watch how teachers, coworkers and children of all classes narrated the history of the school with songs and eurythmy performances.

Greetings and best wishes for the future development of the school were brought by many participants and those received from befriended initiatives in Finland and in neighboring countries were read aloud.

All were glowing with pride and enthusiasm and it was moving to see the happy children enjoying the appreciation of the audience.

Bart Vanmechelen brought congratulations on behalf of the leadership team of the Anthroposophic Council for Inclusive Social Development and held a lecture on the development of anthroposophic care and education of children with special needs and the importance of the healing impulses that they bring into society.
