Visiting Hungary
After two years, Bart was once again invited as a guest lecturer at the Ita Wegman Foundation training in Budapest. The event was held once again at the house of the Anthroposophical Society. The weekend began with a joint review of our October conference at the Goetheanum and the founding of the new Section. Participants shared testimonies, expressing how deeply the inclusive and content-rich conference had moved them.
On St. Lucia Day, the 13th of December, at dusk, we embarked on an excursion to a sacred place near Budapest. In a small chapel, designed by the famous architect Imre Makovecz, we engaged in observational exercises focused on inner and outer experiences of light. Advent songs set the tone and mood that we carried forward throughout the weekend.
The theme of the training weekend was “Professional Esotericism: From Inner Development to Inclusive Social Development.” In alternating groups, we worked together on exercises from the anthroposophical schooling path as well as from the course on education for special needs from Rudolf steiner. In guided conversations and reflections on content contributions the themes were deepened and connected with daily practice. Participants expressed great gratitude for these enriching and intense days, which provided depth for the more experienced members while remaining accessible to newcomers.
Bart also gave a talk on our new section for members of the Anthroposophical Society, and in the fringe we had inspiring conversations on the further development of our movement in Hungary.
