A Conversation on the Podcast “The Telepathy Tapes”

On Tuesday, March 18th, Jan Göschel joined his colleagues Gleice da Silva and Becky Rutherford from the Camphill Academy in the US for a discussion on The Telepathy Tapes, a podcast launched in 2024, which has received a lot of public attention in the US. The conversation was hosted by Seth Jordan and is published on his Substack blog The Whole Social, where he usually explores themes related to social threefolding.

The Telepathy Tapes discusses extraordinary experiences of non-speaking children and youth with autism, and of the parents and teachers who work with them, which include phenomena that seem difficult to explain within a materialistic framework. In their wide-ranging conversation, the three former classroom teachers reflect on these experiences, and the controversial discussion around them, against the background of their own experiences and of an anthroposophical understanding of embodied consciousness and child development.
