Colloquium of the Medical Section – CARE I: Pregnancy, Childbirth and Early Childhood

From 20 to 22 June 2019, the colloquium of the CARE I working group of the Medical Section took place in the carpentry hall at the Goetheanum. The CARE I working group deals with issues of pregnancy, childbirth and early childhood from an interdisciplinary perspective, including topics of prenatal diagnosis and early intervention for children with disabilities. In short presentations, profession-specific and interdisciplinary discussion groups, the topic was worked on by pediatricians, gynecologists, midwives, nurses, educators, and curative educators, as well as psychologists and therapists from different disciplines. Further focus topics were identified and an overview of the contributions of anthroposophical medicine, therapy and pedagogy in this field developed so far was created.

As the next big step, the working group CARE I is preparing the International Early Childhood Congress from 10-13 June 2020 at the Goetheanum.
