World Down Syndrome Day 2019
Today is World Down Syndrome Day. World Down Syndrome Day was created to draw global attention to the societal contributions and needs of people with Down syndrome. By resolution of the United Nations General Assembly of December 19, 2011, this day is celebrated every year on March 21. All UN organizations, member countries, civil society organizations and associations are invited to participate. Today, events are held at the UN headquarters In New York and the Palace of Nations in Geneva, among others. More information can be found on the UN website and on the World Down Syndrome Daywebsite.
