Youth Study ‹(Re)Search›: A call to creative action for the time since corona
The young research team of the Youth Section at the Goetheanum continues its youth study ‘(Re)Search’. It invites young people to present their experiences during this period and their images of how life is shaped.
“Current events in the world call for a questioning of the status quo of previous lifestyles and forms of society,” says the research team of the Youth Section at the Goetheanum. It calls on young people up to the age of 35 to form a picture of the future they want to help shape and to open up the paths that lead there. The results will be developed and presented in a colloquium in December 2020.
The research team encourages people to reflect on current events on their own or with people from their own communities and to think about the following questions:
- What has happened around me: How have current events influenced or changed my life?
- What would I like to give to the world of today – something that will benefit the earth, people and all living beings?
- What changes should my gift bring about?
- What would I have to do today to make the changes I imagine become reality?
Since 2017, the Youth Section team has been exploring the vision of the future that young people imagine in its research project ‘(Re)Search’. The result of the first part of the study was published in 2019. The Corona period prompted the young research team to supplement the study with a look at the experience of Covid-19 measures.
