Leadership team visited Belgium
The annual January retreat of the leadership team took place this year from January 16 to 19 in Belgium. In addition to the usual topics of planning, organizing and preparing the content of the planned events, it was also the opportunity to visit some curative education and social therapy initiatives in Belgium.
The discussions with colleagues focused on two topics: How is work being done to revitalize anthroposophy, and what projects enable people with support needs to participate in society? These meetings were very much appreciated. The observation from an international perspective and the expressed appreciation for the original creative projects that have emerged in the tension between individual support needs and societal needs and opportunities had a very inspiring effect and brought enthusiasm for collaboration and exchange within the Council.
Thankfully, there was still some time left to visit Ghent and Brussels to gain an insight into Belgian culture through some highlights of Belgium’s rich art history.
