Learning in difficult times

Emergency education was developed based on Steiner’s Waldorf education. Now, on June 13 and 14, 2025, an interdisciplinary colloquium on emergency aid, trauma, and emergency education will take place for the first time at the Goetheanum.

The workshop is intended to provide an opportunity to present experiences and methods developed in the work with problematic learning and life situations.

The invitation is primarily addressed to people with many years of experience in emergency relief, trauma and emergency pedagogy, as well as to members of the Medical Section, Section for Inclusive Social Development and Supportive education and the Pedagogical Section. We also call on colleagues from non-anthroposophical institutions to participate.

Topics to be discussed include, for example:

• Human aspects of a traumatized childhood
• Aspects of interdisciplinary collaboration between educators, therapists and doctors in emergency situations
• proven working methods
