Abuse Prevention

The important topic of abuse prevention and dealing with emotional, structural and sexual assault must be considered professionally in our field of work. This is because every person can experience violence and also be affected by violence.
In the interests of self-determination and human dignity, it is important to develop organizational cultures in which these issues are discussed, dealt with proactively and preventively, and in which the processes, skills and tools are available to address and clarify actual boundary violations and initiate the appropriate consequences. There are different approaches, best practice standards and legal requirements in different countries.

This topic has been taken up in the meetings of the training circle for the next three years. Volker Thon, Abuse Prevention Northern Region of Anthropoi Bundesverband/DE, is offering further training in this area.
