KRUG is Russian for “circle” and also stands for Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Ukraine and Georgia. The KRUG network formed in 2012 as a network of training initiatives in these four countries, which have been actively collaborating on a regular basis ever since. In the meantime, the circle has expanded to include training projects in Moldova, Bulgaria and Armenia.

The range of topics covered at the annual meetings includes basic work on the curative education course, student support, methodological-didactic issues, and training for instructors. KRUG also initiated and was responsible for the publication of a new Russian translation of the Curative Education Course. As a regional group, the KRUG network also actively participates in the work of the International Training Circle.
